Conferences

   The organisation of a conference is one of the methods of disseminating the results of the project and making its results available to other interested institutions.  The project will organise three conferences, each of which will be attended by at least 100 people not involved in the project.  These will be teachers and school authorities from other schools in the local area, local authorities, parents and future parents.

The following problems will be presented during the conference:

  1. the importance of reading for the economic and social development of the country and the individual.
  2. the level of readership in a given country as compared to other European Union countries.
  3. the level of readership in partner schools.
  4. the link between readership and the GDP per capita growth rate, innovativeness and intensity of lifelong learning.
  5. the course of the project
  6. the project results achieved, including
    1. Open educational resources developed by 50 project participants illustrating innovative methods of reading education for students.
    2. New school strategies for conducting reading education of students developed by 10 teams.
    3. Development by 10 teams of a new model of school library functioning in partner organizations.
    4. Developed recommendations to local and state authorities pointing to the needs of the development of readership.
  7. methods of using the achievements of the project by others.
